Prayer for Putting Bodies into the Grave
We are encouraged to recite the prayer of the history of Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi, Al-Baihaqi, and others as follows when carrying the body into the tomb. The following prayer is a combination of the hadith and the advice of scholars.
بسم الله وعلى ملة / سنة رسول الله, اللهم افتح أبواب السماء لروحه وأكرم نزله ووسع مدخله ووسع له في قبره
Bismillāh wa ‘alā millati / sunnati rasūlillāh. Allāhummaftah abwābas samā'I li rūhihī, wa akrim nuzulahū, wa wassi ‘madkhalahū, wa wassi‘ lahū fī qabrihī. It means, "In the name of Allah and in the religion of His apostles.
O God, open the doors of heaven to the spirit of the body, glorify the place, expand the place of entry, and expand the grave. " As for the narrations of the narrations of Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidzi, Al-Baihaqi, and others from the companions of Ibn Umar RA are quoted by Imam An-Nawawi in Al-Adzkar as follows:
روينا في سنن أبي داود, والترمذي, والبيهقي, وغيرها, عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما, أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا وضع الميت في القبر قال بسم الله وعلى سنة رسول الله
It means, "It was reported to us at Sunan Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidzi, Al-Baihaqi, and besides them, from Ibn Umar RA that the Messenger of Allāh bila when placing the body in the grave prayed,
'Bismillāh wa' alā sunnati rasūlillāh, '" (See Imam An-Nawawi, Al-Adzkar, [Damascus: Darul Mallah, 1971 AD / 1391 H], page 136).
It means, "(We) are encouraged to add prayers that are relevant to these conditions such as' Allāhummaftah abwābas samā'I li rūhihī, wa akrim nuzulahū, wa wassi 'madkhalahū, wa wassi' lahū fī qabrihī." thus at his funeral, surely Allah raised the tomb of his grave for 40 years, "(Sheikh Sulaiman Al-Bujairimi, Hasyiyatul Bujairimi alal Manhaj). Allah knows best. (Alhafiz Kurniawan)
