Good Practices for the Month of Ramadan in the Last 10 Days Conducted by the Messenger of Allah
There are several practices of the month of Ramadan that are often carried out by the Prophet Muhammad in the last 10 days of this holy month. At this time, Allah SWT will free His servants who fast from all sins and be free from the torments of hellfire.
On the last 10 nights is the time of the fall of Laylat al-Qadar, a night better than 1,000 months. Many Muslims throughout the world are currently preparing themselves as well as possible to get this special night. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a chosen human being, has certain habits that can be an example for us. Here are 7 of them.
1. Increase charity
Our real treasure is the treasure we spend in the way of Allah. Well, in the month of Ramadan, full of grace, let's multiply giving alms. In a history, as stated by Ibn Abbas RA, "His Majesty the Prophet Muhammad was a very generous person. In the month of Ramadan he becomes even more generous. " (Mutaffaq ‘alaih).
2. Increase reading of the Qur'an
There are many advantages of reading the Koran, especially in the month of Ramadan as it is today. Some of these virtues include getting closer to Allah, reading the Qur'an also obtains two rewards, namely the reward of reading and the difficulty of those who read. "People who read the Qur'an proficiently are with the noble angels who are obedient, while those who read the Qur'an stuttering and find it difficult to read, for him two merits." (Muttafaq alaih's hadith).
3. End the dawn time
Actually the best meal time is nearing the end of the rule. Conversely, when breaking is preferred to break the fast in the beginning. But there are still many people underestimate the time of dawn. They find it hard to wake up. Yet behind the meal there are many blessings. Ammar Ibn Maimun said, "The Companions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW were those who had the slowest meal time. (HR Baihaqi)
4. Increase evening prayers (revive the night of Ramadan)
"Who prays with the imam until he is finished, then writes for him the reward of qiyam one full night." (HR. An Nasai). In addition to being obliged to fast for the whole day of Ramadan, the night is offered to perform tarawih prayers. In addition to getting merit, tarawih prayer can also erase our past sins. "Whoever commits qiyam Ramadan by faith and seeks reward, then his past sins will be forgiven" (HR. Bukhari no. 37 and Muslim no. 759).
5. I'tikaf
Actually Iifika can be done at any time. But this Ramadhan should be emphasized even more, especially on the ten days of Ramadan. I'tikaf means staying in the mosque for some time with the intention of worshiping Allah. While in the mosque, multiply to do sunnah prayers, read the AL Quran, or listen to studies to increase knowledge.
6. Turn on the last ten nights and wake his family
You can animate the last 10 nights by inviting families to improve the quality of worship again. Tell family members that the last 10 nights are the most special nights. In the next few days Ramadan will pass and this blessed and forgiving month will only return next year.
7. Invite friends to seriously look for Laylat al-Qadr
We can also get merit by reminding each other in kindness. Remind friends or family to seriously prepare themselves in the last 10 nights can also be a field of our reward.
It turns out that many of the Ramadan practices that we can imitate from the habits of the Prophet Muhammad. Not difficult, as long as it is lived with sincerity. Prepare yourself and your family too!
