These Are Things That Can Cancel Fasting
Apart from eating and drinking on purpose, there are several other things that can break fasting. You must know that there is no mistake in acting. Of course you do not want to, right, fasting that has been done all day long by holding hunger, thirst, and anger, so it does not have the value of worship in the eyes of God? Consider the following 6 things that should not be done while fasting.
1. Vomit on purpose
"Anyone who accidentally vomits, then there is no qadha fasting for him, and anyone who vomits intentionally, then he must mengqadhanya". (Narrated by Tirmidhi: 720 and confirmed by Albani in Sahih Tirmidhi: 577). Qadha fasting means replacing fasting on other days, outside of Ramadan. In the hadith it is clearly stated that if vomiting is done on purpose, then the fast will be canceled. However, if for example you vomit because of motion sickness on the way, then your satisfaction can be continued.
2. Inserting an object into the body cavity intentionally
In this case, there are differences of opinion among fiqh scholars. The basic difference is in interpreting the word body cavity. Which part is called the cavity, herein lies the difference. Some assume the body cavity means that it starts from the throat to the lower hole (genitals and rectum), there is a cavity that limits only the holes in the digestive tract (stomach and intestine).
To maintain prudence, it is better if we take stricter rules. The hope is of course that our fasting can be accepted by God. Therefore, it is best to avoid inserting anything into cavities or holes that exist throughout the body, including the mouth, nose, ears, pubic holes, to the rectum.
If not in an emergency, medication that needs to put something, whether in the form of drugs or injections, into the holes, should be avoided.
3. Husband and wife relations during the day
Even though you and your partner are legal to have a husband and wife relationship, doing it in the afternoon during the month of Ramadan will make your satisfaction null and void. Until the climax or not, it's the same, your satisfaction remains null and must be replaced on another day. You can still do it at night, really. It's just a matter of time management.
4. Menstruation in women
This of course cancels your fast. Even though menstruation just happened sometime before the evening call to prayer, it means that your fast for the day is invalidated. You still have to qadha your satisfaction.
5. Bleeding from staining
"Cancel the fasting of people who are burned and those who are burned". (Narrated by Abu Daud: 2367 and confirmed by Albani in Sahih Abu Daud: 2047). Cupping is in principle the same as blood donation, which is to bleed to give health effects to the body. Therefore, blood donation is not allowed while you are fasting, except in an emergency.
6. Blood transfusion & infusion
Both have the same intention, which is to put something in the body with the aim of 'feeding' the body. If there is someone who lacks blood then is transfused with blood, then this cancels the fast. Infusion too. Infusion needles that are injected into the body contain food that is passed through the bloodstream. If indeed you are in a state of illness, no need to force yourself to fast. After all, God has given relief for not fasting for people who are sick and unable to fast.
Already understand about 6 things that can cancel fasting as above? From now on you must be more careful, yes, so that your worship of satisfaction can go well and be accepted by God.
